Edexcel GCSE Mathematics
The summer exam will now have 3 exam papers:
Paper 1 = 1hr 30 minutes (Non-calculator)
Paper 2 = 1hr 30 minutes (Calculator allowed)
Paper 3 = 1hr 30 minutes (Calculator allowed)
There will be a greater emphasis on problem solving in these examinations than in previous years.
Grades will now be awarded from 1 to 9 in place of letter grades, with 9 being the highest.
Foundation Tier: Grades 1 to 5 can be achieved.
Higher Tier: Grades 4 to 9 can be achieved.
In summer 2017 a grade 4 will be considered a pass at GCSE Mathematics.

Old past exam papers can still be used to revise much of the course material.

GCSE Revision - What can I do?

GCSE Mathematics requires a scientific calculator which pupils are responsible for bringing to each lesson. The following items of equipment are needed: black pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, protractor and a pair of compasses.
